How it works

1

Free 15-minute call

We talk through your family and finances in plain English and confirm exactly what you need — and the exact price — before any work starts.

2

We draft everything

Your documents are drafted by a practising BC lawyer, usually within a few days, and reviewed with you before anything is signed.

3

Sign at your kitchen table

We come to you with the witnesses' checklist handled, supervise the signing so it's legally airtight, and file your Wills Notice with BC Vital Statistics.

Helping an aging parent get their affairs in order?

Home, hospital and care-home visits are a large part of this practice. If travelling to an office is hard — or impossible — we bring the office to them.

We come to their home, hospital bed or care home, anywhere in Vancouver, Burnaby, North & West Vancouver or Coquitlam

Appointments run at their pace — no rushing, everything explained as many times as needed

Careful capacity notes at every signing — the documentation that protects the will if it's ever challenged

We always meet with the will-maker privately, as BC law expects — their wishes, properly recorded

Adult children are welcome to arrange the appointment and be there on the day — the instructions always come from the will-maker themselves. Powers of attorney and representation agreements are usually the most urgent documents in these situations; the free consultation will sort out what's actually needed.

Quick questions

What's included in a wills package?

A free 15-minute phone consultation to work out what you actually need, all drafting of the documents, an in-person appointment at your home to sign and witness everything properly, and filing of a Wills Notice with BC Vital Statistics so your will can be located later. One flat price — no hourly billing, no surprises.

Can you help my elderly parent make a will?

Yes — home, hospital and care-home visits are a large part of our practice. We come to your parent, take the time the appointment needs, meet with them privately as BC law requires, and keep careful notes about capacity and their wishes — the documentation that protects the will if it's ever challenged. Adult children are welcome to arrange the appointment; the instructions always come from the will-maker.

What's the difference between a Power of Attorney and a Representation Agreement?

An Enduring Power of Attorney covers your finances — bills, banking, property — if you lose capacity. A Representation Agreement covers your health care decisions in the same situation. A will only takes effect when you die, so most people want all three. That's what the Complete Plan covers.

How long does it take?

Most wills are drafted within a few days of the consultation. The signing appointment itself usually takes about an hour for a couple's full package. Urgent timelines — hospital signings, travel deadlines — can usually be accommodated; just ask.

How do I pay?

Pay at or right after your appointment by e-transfer, cheque, cash or card (secure payment link). Nothing to pay when you book.
